Average review score:

This is what YOU need!
If you are a medical student doing your rounds in the various surgery departments, from general surgery to Opthalmology and Anesthesia, this is the book for you!
"Clinical Surgery" is a BEAUTIFUL book. The colors and the wonderful illustrations make reading it simple and enjoyable and remembering the details easier. The material is written in a clear manner and the content is just as deep as a medical stusdent needs it to be inorder to grasp the essentials of surgery in the time devoted for the different surgical departments.

I have looked into various books of surgery and I can confidently say that "Clinical surgery" is the book that every medical student needs! When I first set hands on this book I felt I am holding a treasure in my hands and when I looked at the beautiful illustrations I was astonished and very happy and when I started reading it I understood that I have finally found the book I REALLY NEED!

Thank you Saunders for this wonderful book! It really proves that when the book is "Saunders" it just has to be great! :)

Collected Essays V1
Published in Hardcover by Greenwood Publishing Group (31 May, 1970)
Author: Thomas Henry Huxley
Average review score:

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
This is " Huxley's Essays on Hume and Berkeley," spoken about by Aleister Crowley in " Liber OS ABYSMI vel DAATH " -- a short paper which talks of a method to end the reason for the purpose of its replacement by higher, ultimately higher, faculties. This is an excellent treatise reviewing Hume and Berkeley in an exceedingly subtle manner. Huxley's literary style is utterly fantastic. A rare classic to come by.

Collected Poems of Henry Thoreau
Published in Paperback by Johns Hopkins Univ Pr (November, 1999)
Authors: Henry David Thoreau and Carl Bode
Average review score:

The wind has a song and these are the words.
This book has the most complete selection of Thoreau's poetry that I have been able to find. I found it absolutely amazing. Thoreau uses such simple words to convey a deep and complex message that not many people can pull off. He brings what he has seen to life and makes the words dance, laugh, sing and weep as they flow off the page. One of my favorite quotes from this book that reminds me of Oscar Wilde is"Any fool can make a rule, and any fool will mind it." So don't take my word for it, read it and fall in love for yourself.

Collected Stories: 1866-91 (Everyman's Library (Cloth))
Published in Hardcover by Everymans Library (07 March, 2000)
Authors: Henry James and John Bayley
Average review score:

A Great Deal, for James lovers and newbies
This is a tremendous book - some of the greatest stories ever written, attractively packaged and reasonably priced. These are not really "short stories", as most of them are longer than 50 pages, and they all require careful attention, but the effort is well worth it. While some are better than others, there is not a weak story in the book.

Collins Gem Spanish Verb Tables and Grammar
Published in Paperback by HarperCollins (paper) (November, 1996)
Authors: Jeremy Butterfield, Henry H., Jr. Collins, and Collins Sf
Average review score:

even if you don't know it--it's indispensable!
Extraordinarily handy little booklet. While in the beginning-intermediate stages of learning Spanish, I carried it in my breastpocket at all times. At the start, I went through the discussion and examples--that's the best part of the book, the to-the-point examples--not really understanding everything, but getting a good overview. As I worked through other sources and got better, the book became indispensable for its clear treatment of, first, the basic grammatical structure, and, second, irregularities and idioms that commonly arise.

If you're serious about learning Spanish, this book will make the experience much more productive and quick. If you already know some, you can go from "understandable" to "correct and almost fluent" by reviewing with this book.

Really, a must-have.
